Though Tango was born in Beunos Aires, later it was spread throughout Europe and America in the late 19th century. Before that Tango faced many problems to exist, yet Tango survived and was embraced by the upper classes who had so vigorously opposed it before.
Specially the English adopted this dance form and added many big and dramatic gestures with quick snaps of the head from one position to another. Later it became one of the smooth Ballroom dance competitive events. Now in international Tango we can notice many of the patterns and characteristics of the other ballroom dances like Waltz and Foxtrot. But yet Tango has a very unique character which keeps it apart from all of the other ballroom dances
